Job summary

Mercedes AMG HPP in Northamptonshire invites applications for an early careers mechanical/automotive engineer. You will map BOMs to kits, coordinate stores, and work across the Engine Build, Automation and Project Management teams to support the 2026 Power Unit roadmap.

You will gain hands-on experience with the Internal Combustion Engine, Electric Machines and Battery Packs, while learning Siemens NX CAD and contributing to process improvements in a fast-paced F1 setting.

Qualifications

• On track to achieve a 2:1 or above in a relevant Mechanical/ Motorsport/Automotive degree.
• Strong CAD skills and familiarity with NX or similar tools.
• Interest or experience in motorsport, powertrain assembly, or related engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Map Bill of Materials to kits required to assemble the power unit at each build stage.
• Coordinate stores requirements to ensure timely availability of parts.
• Develop tools and processes to support the 2026 Power Unit regulation changes.
