Job summary

Fédération Internationale de L'Automobile seeks a F1 Augmented Reality Project Manager to lead a multi-year AR/HUD safety programme. You will act as technical leader, coordinating FIA stakeholders, Formula 1 teams, researchers and suppliers to deliver safe, integrated helmet, visor and sensor systems.

Based preferably in Geneva, with London as an option, the role requires deep systems engineering expertise and proven experience managing complex, safety-critical projects in motorsport or related

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 7–10 years of engineering and project management experience.
• Experience coordinating complex programmes with multiple suppliers and teams.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle electronics, sensors and HUD technologies.
• Ability to translate safety objectives into technical requirements and architectures.
• Experience in Formula 1, WEC or advanced motorsport is highly valuable.
• Full professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year technical roadmap, development phases, milestones and deliverables.
• Structure the programme across key technologies including helmet/visor displays and HUD solutions.
• Lead development from concept to prototype, integration and testing.
• Maintain governance through risk, dependency, resource and milestone management.
• Coordinate specialised suppliers, engineering partners and research organisations.
• Lead technical workshops and reconcile competing requirements across partners.
• Coordinate validation, human factors studies and safety assessments.
• Assess regulatory implications and develop implementation roadmaps.
