Zusammenfassung

FIA invites an experienced Embedded Application Software Engineer to join the Technical Department in Geneva, supporting the development, monitoring, and regulatory enforcement of Formula 1 embedded software.

You will lead multi-system integration across ECU, sensors, communication networks, and data-analysis suites, while traveling to trackside events and collaborating with teams, manufacturers, and suppliers to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Electronics, Control, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional embedded control systems or real-time software experience in motorsport.
• Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of FIA Formula 1 Standard ECU is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Design, implement, validate, and maintain in-house embedded software for FIA Formula 1 platforms (ECU and ADR).
• Lead end-to-end multi-system integration across control units, sensors, and data systems.
• Translate requirements into software architectures, specifications, and verification plans.
• Develop simulation, test, and data-analysis tools to accelerate validation and regulatory evolution.
• Perform functional and integration testing on bench and vehicle environments with F1 teams and suppliers.
• Maintain code repositories with reviews and documentation for long-term reliability.
• Build in-house engineering capabilities to reinforce FIA responsiveness to technical needs.
• Inspect competitors' embedded software and assist with auditing workflows.
• Support future regulation updates through simulation and validation.
• Define specifications for future FIA electronic architectures.
