Job summary

The Municipal Hotel in Liverpool is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage Team Member to welcome guests and deliver attentive service in our Palm Court and Seaforth Restaurant. You’ll take orders, serve food and drinks, and help keep dining areas inviting and well-presented.

You'll work closely with kitchen and bar teams, adapt to peak times, and uphold hygiene and safety standards. Flexible shifts and a customer-first approach are essential for success.

Responsibilities

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD & BEVERAGE TEAM MEMBER AT OUR HOTEL

What you’ll be doing…

• Welcome guests with a warm smile and attentive service, making their experience enjoyable from start to finish within our Palm Court area or Seaforth Restaurant over lunch or evening service (flexibility with shift times, days, evenings and weekend work is required).
• Take and process food and drink orders accurately, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled.
• Serve food and drinks with care, keeping presentation standards high and timing smooth.
• Set up, clean, and reset tables and service areas, maintaining an inviting and well-organised dining space.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including basic barista duties and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks.
• Keep the dining area stocked by assisting with inventory and restocking supplies.
• Uphold hygiene and health and safety standards, ensuring a spotless and compliant workspace.
• Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to deliver a seamless service, supporting each other for a smooth operation.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• A friendly, professional approach with a passion for creating positive guest experiences.
• Prior food and beverage service experience is a plus, but we welcome a willingness to learn.
• Clear communication skills to interact confidently with guests and colleagues.
• A keen eye for detail, especially in order accuracy and food presentation.
• Team-focused, ready to jump in and support others to keep service flowing.
• Flexibility and energy to thrive in a fast-paced setting, handling peak times with ease.
