V.Ships Leisure is looking for Food and Beverage on behalf of Silversea Cruises

The Food & Beverage Manager oversees and manages all aspects of the food and beverage operation to ensure the delivery of exceptional food and beverage services to Guests and Crew, in accordance with company policies and Public Health standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Takes responsibility for ensuring that the food and beverage teams deliver a welcoming and efficient service.
  • Oversees all food and beverage presentations and quality in all venues. Inspects food and beverage preparation to maintain quality standards to exceed guest expectations.
  • Provides a highly visible presence around the ship to verify the smooth running, acting on and following up on any issues within the food and beverage operations.
  • Is accountable for guest requests, inquiries, and complaints, ensuring they are responded to immediately and are followed up.
  • Proactively interacts with all guests to identify their expectations and needs, fulfilling them promptly, and demonstrating utmost sincerity, integrity, and hospitality with all guests.
  • Is responsible for voyage planning, in collaboration with the Hotel Director.
  • Fosters a culture of Officer visibility and engagement with guests.
  • Ensure all outlets are thoroughly inspected including aesthetics, ambience, lighting and music.
  • Conducts regular inventory checks and forecasts to maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Performs cost control measures to ensure efficient use of inventory and resources.
  • Develops and implements strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and Guest satisfaction.
  • Ensures and enforces compliance with USPHS, Outbreak Prevention (OPRP), Health and Safety measures and regulations.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with fellow colleagues, practicing good people management, and maintaining proper conduct with all departments around the ship.
  • Creates and maintains a positive work environment, successfully leading subordinates into productive working methods by setting an example and utilizing all available tools.
  • Empowers and motivates the F&B teams to deliver exceptional service, and to take accountability for their performance and adherence to company policies and standards.
  • Actively promotes the Silversea Way culture.
  • Mentors, develops, and delivers Silversea training programs and on-the-job training to subordinates to strengthen their current performance and preparation for future advancement and extend the same for replacements and new joiners.
  • Ownership and drive the following trainings, Silversea way, 10/10/10, Silver Knight programs
  • Attends meetings, training activities and related courses and all other work-related activities as required.
  • Where appropriate, initiates meetings to address and resolve quality concerns and to continuously identify improvement opportunities.
  • Implements and supports all Silversea initiatives and programs as requested by the corporate office. Performs related duties as required.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
  • Sound knowledge of the luxury hospitality sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build successful professional relationships both internally and externally and demonstrate a positive team player attitude
  • Optimal time management and leadership skills
  • Self-driven with an ability to maintain and organise multiple tasks simultaneously
