A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER AT OUR HOTEL

What You'll Be Doing...

  • Lead the Food & Beverage department, setting high standards in service and guest experience across all areas including the Bistro & Bar, meeting space, and in-room dining
  • Recruit, train, and develop a passionate F&B team who understand the importance of warm, genuine hospitality and impeccable service
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and attention to detail, from breakfast setup to evening bar service
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to design and deliver seasonal menus that align with brand standards and local market appeal
  • Monitor guest feedback, respond promptly to concerns, and ensure issues are resolved to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction
  • Manage department budgets, forecast sales, control costs, and maximise revenue opportunities through upselling and promotions
  • Maintain full compliance with food hygiene, licensing laws, and health & safety requirements
  • Work closely with Sales & Events to support meetings and special events, ensuring exceptional F&B delivery and smooth logistics
  • Drive innovation, keeping up with F&B trends and seeking out opportunities to enhance the guest experience

What We Need From You

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Food and Beverage managerial role within a hotel or similar hospitality environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build a motivated, engaged, and high-performing team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest service
  • Proven experience in budgeting, stock control, scheduling, and driving financial performance
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation, HACCP, food hygiene standards, and licensing regulations
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required
