Job summary

Legends Global, at Utilita Arena Sheffield, is seeking a Casual Food & Beverage Assistant to welcome guests and support the team during events.

You will prepare and serve food and drinks, handle tills, keep areas clean, and deliver friendly service during busy events from August onward.

No extensive experience required; reliability and a can-do attitude matter, with training provided on hygiene and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in food and beverage or customer-facing roles desirable.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards; training can be provided.

The Venue A cornerstone of South Yorkshire's entertainment scene, Utilita Arena Sheffield has been welcoming audiences since 1991. Purpose-built for world-class live events, the arena hosts an exciting mix of international music acts, major sporting fixtures, and large-scale corporate events. With a capacity of over 13,000, it stands as one of the region's premier venues, combining a rich history with a vibrant programme that continues to attract visitors from across the UK. As a Casual Food & Beverage Assistant, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our guests. You will support the wider team by preparing and serving food and drinks, maintaining a clean and organised environment, and delivering excellent customer service at all times.

Start Date:

We are looking for candidates who are available to start at the end of August, with a busy calendar of events throughout September. Please note: this is a casual role, and hours will vary depending on event schedules.

The Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Prepare and serve food and snacks in line with company standards.
• Use tills to take orders and process payments accurately.
• Engage with customers, responding to enquiries and promoting current offers.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation across all service areas.
• Respond promptly to spills and potential hazards, ensuring a safe environment for guests and colleagues.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive and memorable guest experience.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods to support operations.
• Previous experience in a food and beverage or customer-facing role is desirable.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (training can be provided).
• Experience working in a hospitality or event environment is beneficial.
• A positive, can-do attitude with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
