Job summary

Shropshire Council at Mount Pleasant Primary School in Shrewsbury is seeking an Teaching Assistant to support EYFS learners. This 30-hour-per-week role runs during term time, 08:40–15:15, Monday to Friday, with a permanent contract and a Grade 5 salary of £17,919 per annum.

The successful candidate will help children academically and pastorally, support language and communication needs, and contribute to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment for all pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in primary school or early years settings.
• Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly language and communication needs.
• Ability to support communication and manage pupils' emotions proactively and positively.

Responsibilities

• Support children academically and pastorally to achieve best outcomes.
• Assist with language and communication needs and behaviour management.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment in a SEND-aware setting.
