Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to support pupils at a primary school in Poulton-le-Fylde. The role focuses on nurturing children’s social, emotional, and academic development in a warm, inclusive setting.

Ideal candidates have EYFS experience, strong communication, and a patient, positive approach. DBS updates are preferred or can be obtained via Teaching Personnel. This temporary position offers flexible hours and long-term/permanent progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an EYFS or primary school setting is desirable.
• A patient, nurturing, and positive approach to supporting young learners.
• A genuine passion for education and child development.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children within the EYFS classroom on a one-to-one and small group basis.
• Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and creative learning activities.
• Encouraging children's communication, language, and social development.
• Supporting pupils with varying abilities to access learning and achieve their potential.
• Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Assisting with observations and contributing to children's learning journeys where required.
