Job summary

Langley Green Primary School and West Sussex County Council in West Sussex is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to work within our Nursery or Reception classes. The role is term-time only, 35 hours per week, 8:15am to 3:45pm with a 30-minute unpaid break.

The successful candidate will support pupils to access the curriculum, deliver intervention programmes, and work as part of a supportive team focused on safeguarding and professional development.

Qualifications

• Be suitably qualified for the post of Teaching Assistant i.e. to have good basic literacy and numeracy skills (to GCSE level or above) and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Be reliable, enthusiastic, caring and motivated.
• Have high expectations of all pupils.

Responsibilities

• Be able to support pupils to access the curriculum within a mainstream class
• Be expected to deliver intervention programmes to groups of children.
• Have a passion and motivation for improving the lives of all children
