Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets, East London. You will work across Nursery and Reception, supporting phonics, language development and early numeracy, with a Level 3 Early Years qualification.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in an early years setting, ideally in a school or nursery.
• Understanding of EYFS framework and child development.
• Confidence with phonics, language development and early learning.
• Patient, caring and proactive approach with young children.
• Strong communication skills and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across Nursery and Reception.
• Assist with phonics, early reading, writing and number activities.
• Deliver engaging play-based activities matching EYFS.
• Help children develop communication, language, confidence and independence.
• Provide individual and small-group support where needed.
• Support children with SEND and adapt activities.
• Monitor progress and maintain a safe, stimulating classroom.
