E-ACT Reedswood Academy is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our reception team. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can reach their full potential.

Requirements include a TA3 qualification or relevant experience, GCSE Maths and English at grade C or equivalent, and experience in an Early Years or primary setting. This 32.5-hour per week role is term-time (39 weeks), fixed-term to 31 August 2027, with

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils' work.
  • Assist with the implementation of individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs as agreed with the teacher.
  • Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
  • Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
  • Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.

Education

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Level3 Teaching Assistant to join our team at Reedswood, supporting children in our Receptionclass.

The successful candidate will have experience working withinan Early Years setting and a genuine passion for supporting young children tolearn, develop and thrive. Pay range:

NJC SCP 9-17 £21,749.73 - £24,757.28 (Starting at SCP 9)

(FTE: £28,153.00 - £32,046.00)

32.5 hours per week, term time only 39 weeks per year.

Fixed Term until 31st August 2027.

Qualificationsand Skills:
  • TA3 qualification or relevant experience
  • GCSE Maths and English minimum grade C or equivalent
  • Relevant educational experience supporting a child/childrenin a primary school setting
  • Experience of working with children who have a wide varietyof educational needs
  • Has Ruth Miskin Phonics experience - this would be anadvantage, but is not essential.
