Job summary

Mount Pleasant Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (EYFS, Level 2) to join a supportive staff team. The role supports learning and wellbeing, working with children with additional needs and language/communication requirements.

The successful candidate will be involved in class support, including leading the class during PPA, and will contribute to an enthusiastic, professional, and creative school culture. Immediate start requested, with term-time variation.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children in primary/early years settings.
• Experience of working with children with special educational needs, particularly language and communication.
• Ability to support communication and manage pupils’ emotions in a proactive, positive way.

Responsibilities

• Support children academically and pastorally within the classroom.
• Lead the class during periods such as PPA when required.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, forward-thinking team environment.
