Job summary

Empowering Learning is partnering with a chain of private day nurseries in the Jesmond area of Newcastle, seeking an EYFS Qualified Teaching Assistant to support young children’s development. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality early years education and care, planning play-based activities and building strong relationships with children and families.

The role offers 93-110 per day, PAYE weekly pay, and ongoing training with a dedicated Empowering Learning consultant to support

Qualifications

• Level 2 or 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification is essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience in nursery, pre-school or reception settings.

Responsibilities

• Support practitioners and teachers in high-quality early years education.
• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities.
• Support children's learning and development needs.
• Encourage confidence, independence and social skills.
• Observe and record progress in line with EYFS framework.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment and follow policies.
