Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistants to support Reception classes and Early Years settings across Sunderland and South Tyneside. The roles offer flexible part-time or full-time hours throughout the academic year, with a guaranteed pay scheme available for stability.

Ideal candidates will hold Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS qualifications, have experience in early years, and be passionate about giving children the best start to their education.

Qualifications

• A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years, Childcare or equivalent Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience working with children in nursery, preschool or school EYFS settings.
• Passion for supporting young children's learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with engaging Early Years activities and continuous provision.
• Work with individuals and small groups to support learning through play.
• Promote communication, language and social development.
• Support personal, social and emotional wellbeing.
• Assist with phonics, early literacy and numeracy activities.
• Encourage independence, curiosity and confidence.
• Support children with additional needs where required.
• Help maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
