Collegiate School on the outskirts of Bristol is seeking an energetic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join the Prep School. You will support learning and play in the classroom, assist at Forest School, and help deliver a high-quality education for our pupils aged 3 to 5.

The role is fixed term until the end of Summer Term 2027, full-time during term time (37.5 hours/week, 35 weeks/year), with pro-rata salary and benefits including free lunches, on-site parking, and sport facilities access.

Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving, diverse, co-educational independent day school on the outskirts of Bristol. We are looking to appoint a vibrant and energetic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join the team at our Prep School. The role includes supporting learning and play in the classroom, assisting at Forest School, helping with activities and supporting a very high-quality education for our pupils.

The successful candidate will have experience and understanding of working with young children. They will be suitably qualified to support learning for pupils aged 3 to 5 years old, and to assist where required across the Prep School. The successful candidate will be conscientious, considerate and attentive to the needs of our students, have an imaginative nature and the ability to enthuse energy and enjoyment in those they care for.

This is a fixed term position until the end of the Summer Term 2027.

The hours for this role will be full time during term time with all INSET days (35 weeks per year). The hours for this role will be 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 7.30am until 3.30pm.

You will receive a pro-rata salary of £22,099 per annum (based on £28,666 FTE). This will include a holiday allowance based on 25 days per year plus 8 bank holidays, pro-rata. Staff benefits include free lunches during term time, free on-site parking and use of the school’s sports facilities.

Collegiate School occupies a glorious thirty-acre campus and has all of its facilities on-site. We are easily accessible from the motorway network, with approximately 800 students aged from 3 to 18. Collegiate staff enjoy small class sizes and the opportunity to deliver a broad and rich curriculum. Collegiate Prep School, specialising in the care of our younger students, enjoys its own dedicated campus a short walk from the Senior School.
