Job summary

Cornerstone Academy Trust in Exeter is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to join our EYFS team, helping young learners start their school journey in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

You will support teachers with a project-based curriculum, lead reading groups, assist with admin, and help pupils develop communication, literacy, numeracy, and personal development. This full-time role runs 8:30am–3:30pm, term-time plus 10 days, with a starting salary of £24,522.

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our EYFS team. This is a wonderful opportunity to support children at the very beginning of their school journey, helping them to develop a love of learning in a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment.

Working closely with the class teacher and wider staff team, you will support children’s learning through a balance of structured teaching and purposeful play. You will help pupils develop key early skills in communication, language, literacy, numeracy and personal, social and emotional development, while encouraging curiosity, confidence and independence.
