Job summary

Milk Education in Halifax is seeking an EYFS Learning Support Assistant to support children in Nursery and Reception from September 2026. The role is full-time and long-term with potential for permanent placement, across a range of Halifax primary schools.

You will deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, support phonics, early literacy and numeracy, and help create a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and enthusiastic.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible and proactive approach.
• Experience working with young children is desirable.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification is advantageous but not essential.
• Graduates in Education, Psychology or Childhood Studies are encouraged to apply.

Milk Education is recruiting caring and enthusiastic EYFS Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of welcoming Primary schools in Halifax from September. Our partner schools are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting children during the early stages of their education, helping them develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, Early Years practitioners, graduates or individuals with childcare experience looking to progress their career within education.
