Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an EYFS Teacher for a mainstream Primary School in Bridgwater. The role is full-time and permanent, starting immediately, with responsibilities for teaching the Reception class, delivering EYFS-aligned lessons, and assessing pupil progress.

The successful candidate will hold QTS (ECTs welcome), have a solid EYFS understanding, strong classroom and communication skills, and a flexible, positive approach to teaching.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS or eligible for QTS (ECTs welcome).
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and Reception settings.
• Experience teaching or supporting children in EYFS/Reception.
• Excellent classroom management and assessment skills.
• Strong communication with colleagues and parents.

Responsibilities

• Teach a Reception class in line with EYFS framework.
• Deliver engaging lessons and monitor children's progress.
• Create a safe, stimulating classroom environment for early development.

Job Title: EYFS Teacher Location: Bridgwater Start Date: Immediate Start Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 per annum (MPS/UPS)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Bridgwater, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic EYFS Teacher. The school is committed to providing a positive and inclusive learning environment where children can develop their confidence, independence and love of learning.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated EYFS Teacher on a full-time, permanent basis, starting as soon as possible. The successful EYFS Teacher will be responsible for teaching a Reception class, delivering engaging lessons in line with the EYFS framework, assessing children's progress and creating a safe, stimulating classroom environment that supports early learning and development.

The successful EYFS Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS curriculum
• Experience teaching or supporting children within an EYFS or Reception setting
• Excellent classroom management and assessment skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and parents
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
