UCM Education seeks a nurturing EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the London Borough of Lambeth from September 2026. You will teach in the EYFS, supporting children with SEN while fostering inclusive, play-based learning.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS, have EYFS experience, and be adept at observing and assessing progress to inform planning. Strong collaboration with staff and parents is essential.

Qualifications

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching within Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Have previous experience supporting or teaching children with SEN.
  • Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework and early years pedagogy.
  • Be confident in adapting teaching and learning to support children with additional needs.
  • Have strong classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Be committed to creating an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching an EYFS class within a mainstream primary school setting
  • Planning and delivering creative, engaging, and play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework
  • Supporting children's communication, language, physical, personal, social, and emotional development
  • Differentiating activities and adapting provision to meet individual learning needs
  • Supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and additional learning needs
  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Using observations and assessment to monitor children's progress and inform future planning
  • Building positive relationships with children and encouraging their confidence, independence, and curiosity
  • Working closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO, EYFS team, and wider school staff
  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress and wellbeing

Job description

We are looking for a nurturing and experienced EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Lambeth from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years practitioner who is passionate about creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will teach within the EYFS phase while supporting children with a range of learning needs, including pupils requiring additional SEN support.

You will be:
  • Teaching an EYFS class within a mainstream primary school setting
  • Planning and delivering creative, engaging, and play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework
  • Supporting children's communication, language, physical, personal, social, and emotional development

  • Be adaptable and able to respond to the individual needs of pupils
  • Have a positive and proactive approach to teaching
  • Have full-time availability from September 2026
  • Have the right to work in the UK, as sponsorship is not available

Previous SEN experience is essential for this role.
