Reedswood E-ACT Academy in England is seeking an enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support our Reception class in an Early Years setting. The role focuses on nurturing, inclusive learning environments and close collaboration with the class teacher to help every child reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will have EYFS experience and a passion for supporting young learners, with Ruth Miskin Phonics experience as an advantage.

Qualifications

• TA3 qualification or relevant experience
• GCSE Maths and English minimum grade C or equivalent
• Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a primary school setting
• Experience of working with children who have a wide variety of educational needs
• Has Ruth Miskin Phonics experience - this would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils’ work.
• Assist with the implementation of individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs as agreed with the teacher.
• Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
• Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
• Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.
