Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is recruiting an EYFS / SEND Teaching Assistant to join a SEND school in Widnes. The role starts after the October half term, Monday to Friday (part-time options available). The school serves KS1/KS2 pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties, with some needing additional language and communication support.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with SEND or Early Years in a school or residential setting.
• Be willing to provide all aspects of personal care.
• Strong de-escalation skills and calm approach to behaviour management.
• Team player, working with teachers and support staff to deliver lesson plans.
• Confidence or experience working in line with EHCPs.
• Have a full enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for a new one.

Responsibilities

• Support children with SEND and EYFS learning needs in line with lesson plans.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging activities and behaviour support.
• Provide personal care as required and maintain a safe environment.
