Job summary

OFG Education is seeking an EYFS/SEND Teaching Assistant at Hambrook School in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. The role is permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £22,160.62 per annum. Start date October 2026. UK applicants only – no sponsorship available.

You will support students with Autism and SEND needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and develop key life skills within a nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• EYFS/SEND Teaching Assistant role supporting early years and SEND students.
• Experience with autism and additional needs is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support students with Autism and SEND to access learning.
• Assist with EYFS and sensory-based activities, indoors and outdoors.
• Help develop confidence, independence, communication and social skills.
• Support students' emotional wellbeing with a calm, caring approach.
• Prepare learning resources and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.
• Work with teachers and therapists to implement personalised support.
