Job summary

Bright Star Talent Limited is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Litherland. You will provide dedicated one-to-one support to a Reception child with ASD, helping them access lessons and participate in classroom activities.

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will support communication, social development and emotional regulation, creating a calm, inclusive environment where the child can thrive. DBS required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with ASD or similar needs.
• Experience in EYFS/Reception/primary school desirable.
• Patient, calm and nurturing approach.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with a young child.

Responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience supporting children with ASD or other additional needs.
• Experience working within EYFS, Reception or a primary school is highly desirable.
• A patient, calm and nurturing approach.
• Someone who can build a strong and trusting relationship with a young child.
• Confident working on a one-to-one basis while also being part of the wider classroom team.
• Good understanding of supporting communication, social development and emotional regulation.
• Reliable, consistent and able to work closely with teachers and other support staff.
• Enhanced DBS required.
