Job summary

Flourish Education is recruiting a Reception Teacher for a Worcester primary school. The role runs from January 2027 to July 2027, with you taking full class responsibility and delivering engaging EYFS lessons.

You should hold QTS or an equivalent qualification and have EYFS knowledge with experience in a primary setting. A DBS check (Update Service preferred) and two references are required. Flourish Education will support you through the registration process and onboarding.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Good curriculum knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Experience teaching in a primary school, ideally within a Reception class.
• Confident taking full class teaching responsibility including planning and assessment.
• Experience planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons across EYFS.
• Strong understanding of play-based learning and child-led activities.
• Experience assessing and tracking children's progress to inform planning.
• DBS Update Service or recent DBS check; ability to provide two excellent references.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the class and deliver age-appropriate EYFS lessons.
• Plan, prepare, assess and mark pupil work.
• Support children's early development through play-based learning.
• Monitor and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
• Collaborate with the school team to maintain high standards of teaching and behaviour.
