Job summary

Academics Ltd is assisting a Catholic primary school in Stoke-on-Trent to appoint an EYFS Reception class Teacher on a full-time, long-term supply basis. The successful candidate will lead a Reception class of 30 pupils and deliver engaging early years lessons.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching within EYFS, ideally in a Reception class.
• Is enthusiastic, nurturing and passionate about early years education.
• Can plan effectively and deliver creative, engaging learning experiences.
• Is confident taking full responsibility for a class and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Can commit to a full-time, long-term placement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the EYFS framework.
• Support children's learning, development and progress across all areas of the curriculum.
• Create a stimulating, safe and nurturing classroom environment.
• Assess, monitor and record pupils' progress.
• Support children's social, emotional and personal development.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
• Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the class.
