Job summary

Academics is seeking an Early Years Teacher for day-to-day, short-term, and long-term supply across Rugeley/Hednesford/Cannock. Start date is November 2026.

You will deliver engaging EYFS lessons, maintain a positive classroom environment, and ensure continuity of learning across diverse school settings. Qualified with QTS, you should have recent primary experience, strong behaviour management, and be able to adapt across EYFS settings.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Recent experience teaching in a primary school setting.
• Confidence teaching across a range of EYFS settings.
• Flexible, professional and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
• Availability for day-to-day supply, short-term and/or long-term placements.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Can provide two recent professional references.
• Able to commute to schools in Stafford/Penkridge/Cannock/Rugeley area.
• Fully registered or willing to register with Academics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the EYFS Framework.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment to promote engagement.
• Manage classroom behaviour quickly and effectively per school policies.
• Adapt teaching to meet needs of individual pupils and classes.
• Provide feedback on pupil progress and learning where required.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents where appropriate.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children at all times.
