Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a Reception Teaching Assistant for a thriving primary school in Fulwood, Preston.

The role focuses on providing general classroom support in a Reception class and assisting with Early Years Foundation Stage activities to foster a positive learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will hold a childcare or education qualification, have EYFS experience, and be confident delivering phonics interventions while supporting speech and language

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant childcare or education-related qualification.
• Experience in an Early Years setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
• Experience supporting children with speech and language needs.
• Confidence delivering phonics interventions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about supporting young children’s education.

Responsibilities

• Provide general classroom support within a Reception class.
• Support children's learning and development in line with EYFS.
• Assist with phonics sessions and early literacy activities.
• Support children with speech and language development.
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and social development.
• Work with small groups and individuals to meet learning goals.
