Job summary

Brighton College Prep Hove is seeking to appoint an Early Years Practitioner on a fixed-term contract from January 2027 to 31 August 2027. This full-time, term-time only role sits within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

A Level 3 qualification or above and EYFS knowledge are required, with opportunities to support learning across the EYFS curriculum. The role involves planning with teachers, setting up learning environments, delivering interventions, and supporting pupils’ development.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or above is required.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Experience in early years settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with teachers on termly and weekly planning.
• Understand and apply the EYFS framework.
• Create stimulating learning environments and outdoor spaces.
• Plan and deliver interventions and assess pupils.
• Support curriculum delivery and school events.
• Support pastoral care and relationships among pupils and staff.
• Liaise with Learning Support Leadership.
• Collaborate with class teachers to enhance learning environments.
• Assist with general organisational duties.
• Observe pupils and upload observations to Tapestry.
