Job summary

PK Education is looking for an Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply team in a local primary school in Sheffield. The role is fixed term and starts ASAP, supporting a class of 29 children with phonics interventions and general classroom assistance.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 childcare qualification, EYFS TA experience, and a passion for helping early learners progress. DBS checks and safeguarding are part of the registration process.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in an EYFS environment.
• Experience supporting small nurture groups to boost attainment.
• Willingness to undertake Enhanced DBS checks.
• Ideally experience delivering phonics intervention groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver phonics interventions to small groups.
• Provide general classroom support for a class of 29 children.
