Job summary

Academics is seeking a Primary Classroom Support Assistant to work across Sheffield’s welcoming primary schools on a flexible, ongoing supply basis. You will support learning alongside teachers, foster pupil engagement and help create a positive classroom environment in EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Some roles may include 1:1 support and interventions. You should have Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualifications (desirable), with previous school experience, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
• Previous experience working within a school or childcare setting.
• Positive, patient and supportive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Assist with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
• Deliver small group intervention sessions.
• Provide 1:1 support where required.
• Encourage positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
