Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Level 3 qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Preston area and support their new nursery provision. The role is ongoing, starting in October, with potential to become a permanent member of the Early Years team.

You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning experiences, support children's development and create a safe, nurturing environment in the new nursery setting.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working in an Early Years or nursery setting.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality learning experiences within the nursery setting.
• Work closely with the class teacher to support children's learning and development.
• Provide engaging and age-appropriate activities based on the EYFS framework.
• Support children's personal, social and emotional development.
• Encourage communication, language and early literacy skills.
• Support children's physical development and independence.
• Observe, assess and record children's progress.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Build strong and positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Support children who may have additional needs or SEND.
• Help establish routines and contribute to the development of the new nursery provision.
