Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Redruth. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday from September, offering long-term stability with potential for permanency and progression within the school.

You will support children across Nursery/Reception in daily activities, deliver targeted phonics, and provide 1:1 and small-group interventions, while working closely with teachers to raise learning outcomes in a nurturing

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (essential)
• Experience working in an EYFS or primary school setting
• Strong understanding of early child development and learning through play
• A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
• Confidence supporting children with varying needs, including SEN (desirable)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Supporting children across EYFS (Nursery/Reception) in daily classroom activities
• Delivering targeted phonics, literacy, and numeracy support
• Providing 1:1 and small group interventions where needed
• Helping to create a positive, nurturing, and stimulating environment
• Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEN where required
• Working collaboratively with teachers and staff to enhance learning outcomes
