Job summary

Aspire People are working with a two-form entry Primary School in Chorlton to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for their EYFS team. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30, term-time only, based in the Reception class to support early years development.

Ideal candidates will hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Teaching & Learning or equivalent and have experience in EYFS/primary settings. A proactive, engaging approach is essential to help pupils thrive.

Qualifications

• Holds a level 3 qualification in Early Years, Teaching & Learning or equivalent.
• Experience in an early years or primary school setting, paid, voluntary or placement.
• Passionate about working with children and proactive.
• Able to engage with pupils and support development across EYFS.

Responsibilities

• Support in EYFS, based with a Reception class, assisting pupils in early stages of their education.
• Work closely with the class teacher to ensure pupils have access to a rich and engaging learning experience.
• Support children with SEND or identified needs by adapting strategies and resources to overcome barriers to learning.
• Create a nurturing and positive environment that makes children feel welcomed and safe.
• Assist with phonics delivery and reinforce early literacy development.
