Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistants to support nurseries and reception classes across Manchester. You will help with play-based learning, phonics and early numeracy while promoting confidence and independence in young learners.

The role offers flexible daily rates, opportunities for daily, short-term and long-term placements, and support from a dedicated Aspire People consultant.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an EYFS or primary setting.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development.
• Patient, nurturing and enthusiastic approach.
• Confident supporting learning through play.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable and adaptable

Responsibilities

• Supporting children across Nursery and Reception.
• Assisting with play-based learning and classroom activities.
• Supporting early phonics, communication and numeracy development.
• Helping children develop social skills and independence.
• Supporting children during transitions and daily routines.
• Creating a safe, positive and engaging learning environment.
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team
