Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking an EYFS Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a welcoming primary school in Bedminster, Bristol. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, full-time with a long-term opportunity and immediate start available.

You will support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping with literacy, numeracy, and social development while fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with young children in education settings such as schools, nurseries, or childcare facilities.
• Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Patient, nurturing and enthusiastic approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about supporting children’s development and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support children throughout their Early Years education in the Reception classroom.
• Work with individuals and small groups to develop early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
• Deliver engaging learning activities both indoors and outdoors.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours.
• Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support children with varying abilities and developmental needs.
• Assist with observations and contribute to learning journeys.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
