Job summary

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in Bristol. You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping them access learning and reach their full potential.

This role offers full-time, short-term employment with school hours and immediate start. A supportive consultant will assist you throughout the placement, with opportunities for ongoing roles and professional

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or related setting is desirable.
• A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Providing classroom support to pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis.
• Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and learning activities.
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Promoting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.

• Location: Bristol
• Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
• Pay: £90 - £100 per day PAYE
• Contract Type: Full-time, Short-term
• Hours: Monday to Friday, School Hours
