Role Overview:

As an Early Years Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in nurturing and supporting the development of young children in their formative years. Working closely with teachers and other staff, you will help create a positive and engaging learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and delivery of activities that support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Provide one-on-one and group support to children, ensuring their individual needs are met.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support children with special educational needs (SEN) and help them integrate into the classroom.
• Assist with the assessment and monitoring of children’s progress.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers about their child’s development.
• Contribute to the school’s ethos and objectives by participating in school activities and events.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting.
• A relevant qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare is desirable.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with children.
• DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo DBS checks).
