Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in Leigh is seeking an experienced EYFS Lead Reception Class Teacher to lead the development of our Early Years provision. The role combines leadership with teaching within Reception and involves shaping curriculum and practice across two Reception classes for about 45 intake.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced and highly effective EYFS teacher.
• Knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and effective Early Years pedagogy.
• Can demonstrate strong outcomes and impact within Early Years.
• Understands language development, early literacy, phonics and early mathematics.

Responsabilités

• Lead the quality, consistency and development of provision across the Reception unit.
• Teach within Reception and support two classes with an annual intake of ~45.
• Develop and implement an ambitious EYFS curriculum.
• Ensure assessment identifies starting points, gaps and next steps.
