Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking an Early Years Teacher to lead a Reception class at a welcoming primary school in Croydon from 12th October. You will create an engaging and stimulating learning environment and support children's early development.

The successful candidate will have QTS or equivalent and experience in EYFS, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and Development Matters, fostering social, emotional, and academic progress through a mix of adult-led and child-initiated

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Successful completion of an Initial Teacher Training programme.
• Experience teaching within EYFS, ideally within a Reception class.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment where children can thrive.
• Monitor, assess, and record children's progress through observations and formative assessment.
• Support children's communication, language, literacy, numeracy, and personal development.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on pupil progress.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other staff to meet the individual needs of pupils.
• Promote good behaviour and positive learning habits from the outset.
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are met at all times.
• Participate fully in staff meetings, training, and wider school activities.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the EYFS provision within the school.
