Job summary

Teaching Vacancies is seeking an experienced teacher to lead EYFS and Key Stage 1 and oversee the Read Write Inc programme in a large, rapidly improving school.

You will model outstanding practice, coach colleagues, contribute to self-evaluation and school improvement, and work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership to raise standards while upholding safeguarding and equality.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in EYFS and/or KS1.
• Experience leading Read Write Inc or phonics.
• Experience coaching/mentoring staff.
• Proven track record of outstanding classroom practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for EYFS, KS1, and Read Write Inc.
• Support and develop high-quality teaching and learning across these areas.
• Act as a role model of outstanding classroom practice, coaching and mentoring staff as needed.
• Contribute to whole-school self-evaluation and school improvement planning.
• Work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team.
• Ensure robust safeguarding procedures are in place and adhered to at all times.
• Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout the school.
• Foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the community.
• Seek permission from your Governing Board for temporary release if currently employed elsewhere.
