Job summary

West Croft School is seeking an experienced leader to head Early Years and Key Stage 1, and to oversee the Read Write Inc program. The role involves strategic leadership, coaching teachers, and driving improvements across a large, rapidly improving school.

You will work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to ensure high-quality teaching, robust safeguarding, and strong community relations. This is a full-time on-site post located in Swindon, United Kingdom.

Main Purpose of the Role

• Lead and oversee Early YearsFoundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1, and the Read Write Inc program


• Class based teacher in KS1classroom for 0.6 days


• Model outstanding classroompractice and support colleagues to raise teaching standards


• Contribute to the strategicleadership of our large, rapidly improving school


• Promote and uphold the school’scommitment to safeguarding and equality

Key Responsibilities
