Job summary

Aspion is assisting a well-established manufacturer in West Bromwich to appoint an Extrusion Setter / Operator. You will set and operate extrusion machinery, prepare machines for production runs, and manage changeovers while monitoring quality and safety.

Training is provided and the role is permanent, with a 6:00am–6:00pm shift, Monday–Thursday, Friday off. £14.00+ per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in extrusion is preferred, but training is provided
• Manufacturing or production background required/advantageous
• Comfortable working with machinery and learning new processes

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating extrusion machinery

• Completing machine changeovers and adjustments
• Monitoring production and checking product quality
• Troubleshooting basic machine and production issues
• Working with materials such as PVC, Polyurethane, Megalon and Nylon

Extrusion Setter / Operator

Salary: £14.00+ per hour, depending on experience
Hours: 48 hours per week
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 6:00pm

We are working with a well-established manufacturer within the cable management industry who is looking to add an Extrusion Setter / Operator to their production team.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who already has experience within extrusion, however, this isn't essential. My client is happy to train someone who has a good manufacturing background, is comfortable working with machinery and is keen to learn.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting and operating extrusion machinery
• Preparing machines for production runs
