Job summary

Aspion is recruiting an Extrusion Setter / Operator for a well‑established cable management manufacturer. You will join a production team focused on quality and efficiency.

You will set and operate extrusion machinery, prepare machines for production runs, perform changeovers and adjustments, monitor product quality, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. Training is provided for the right candidate; permanent role with Monday–Thursday shifts, 6:00am–6:00pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production preferred.
• Experience with machine setting or operation is beneficial.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing or cable manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating extrusion machinery.
• Preparing machines for production runs.
• Completing machine changeovers and adjustments.
• Monitoring production and checking product quality.
• Troubleshooting basic machine issues and production problems.
• Working with materials such as PVC, Polyurethane, Megalon and Nylon.
• Packing finished products.
• Completing basic production paperwork.
• Keeping the work area clean and safe.

Extrusion Setter / Operator

Salary: £14.00+ per hour, depending on experience
Hours: 48 hours per week
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00am – 6:00pm

We are working with a well-established manufacturer within the cable management industry who is looking to add an Extrusion Setter / Operator to their production team.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who already has experience within extrusion, however, this isn't essential. My client is happy to train someone who has a good manufacturing background, is comfortable working with machinery and is keen to learn.

The Role
