Job summary

Prestige Recruitment Specialists is recruiting an Extrusion Engineer for our Scunthorpe site. The role focuses on maintenance of extrusion machinery, driving reliability and efficiency within the production line.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, and support continuous improvement initiatives. A strong electrical bias is preferred, with HNC/HND in Engineering or an apprenticeship advantageous. Excellent overtime opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining extrusion machinery is essential.
• HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent; an apprenticeship is advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills are required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with maintenance focus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on extrusion equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
• Minimise downtime by responding quickly to breakdowns.
• Support continuous improvement projects to enhance performance and reliability.
• Ensure work is performed safely and with proper documentation.
• Collaborate with production teams to meet targets.
