Job summary

Venatu Consulting Ltd recruiting a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer near Grimsby to join a modern & well-invested manufacturing site. The role involves hands-on maintenance on plant & equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will execute PPMs, fault-find mechanically across conveyors and gearboxes, and support production teams with engineering issues. Overtime paid at 1.25x; 25 days holiday and pension provided.

Qualifications

Apprentice-trained maintenance engineer with mechanical bias.
Experience in manufacturing/industrial environment.
Strong mechanical fault-finding on production equipment.
Comfortable with basic electrical tasks only (e.g. motor changes).

Responsibilities

Maintain all plant and production assets to high standards.
Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) per schedules.
Respond quickly to breakdowns with urgency and priority.
Carry out mechanical repairs on conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, belts, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Support production teams with engineering issues and improvements.
