Job summary

Ambitions Personnel is seeking an experienced Extruder Operator for a Grantham manufacturing site. You will set up, operate and monitor extrusion machinery, ensuring product quality and accurate batch records.

Joining a long-established business, you will work Mon-Thu 8:00–16:30 and Fri 8:00–13:00, with a starting rate of £13.80 per hour, rising to £14.10 after probation. A stable, long-term opportunity and strong health & safety standards are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• Previous extrusion experience is essential.
• Proven experience operating extrusion machinery.
• Good mechanical and technical understanding.
• Ability to identify and resolve production issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and GMP procedures.
• Accurate production records documentation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, hardworking.
• Able to work independently and use initiative.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor extrusion machinery.

• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance and servicing.

Job description

We are looking for an experiencedExtruder Operatorto join a long-established and growing manufacturing client based in Grantham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled operator to join a stable and reputable business where your technical ability and attention to detail will be valued.

Rate & Hours

• £13.80 per hour, increasing to£14.10 after successful completion of 6-month probation
• Monday–Thursday: 8.00am–4.30pm
• Friday: 8.00am–1.00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor extrusion machinery.
• Complete machine changeovers and record settings and batch information.
• Monitor product quality and make adjustments where required.
• Troubleshoot machinery and production issues.
• Complete production paperwork accurately.
• Carry out routine cleaning, maintenance and servicing.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and follow 5S, GMP and Health & Safety standards.
• Support the team in achieving production targets.
