Job summary

Creative Support is seeking a warm, compassionate and proactive lead to provide person-centered care across our Tameside Extra Care services. The role involves supporting service users in flats, assisting with personal care, and promoting a positive, empowering environment in collaboration with families and the Registered Manager.

A flexible, energetic, reliable candidate with at least two years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years’ experience is essential for this role.
• Previous experience in a senior role within Domiciliary Care or Extra Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to service users.
• Assist the Registered Manager to ensure an empowering service and engage with service users' families.
• Support individuals to access work, education and social opportunities.

Job description

We are seeking a warm, compassionate and proactive individual to take a lead in providing person-centered care and support to our services users.

The Tameside Extra Care services comprise of three extra care sites across the Tameside borough, The schemes consist of a number of one bedroom and two bedroomed self-contained flats, with a proportion of individuals receiving a care service. Needs may include dementia, mental health needs, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and complex health needs.You will also assist the Registered Manager in ensuring an empowering service which meets the needs of our clients and works with the service user’s families and friends to promote a positive atmosphere.

You must be flexible, energetic and reliable.

Creative Support is committed to your continuous professional development and as a successful candidate; you will receive a full local and corporate induction, and attain a level 3 certificate in ‘Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care’. On completion of your probationary period, you will automatically be enrolled onto the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.

You will also have the opportunity to discuss your training and development needs during regular supervision and appraisal meetings.

You must be willing to embrace all aspects of the role including, but not limited to, providing support with personal care and domestic tasks, and supporting individuals to access work, education and social opportunities.

A full, clean UK driving license is a desirable quality for this role.You will be required to work in a flexible manner, on a roster basis, which will include evenings, weekends.

A minimum of two years’ experience is essential for this role and previous experience working within a senior role within Domicilliary Care or Extra CareFull training is provided, as is the opportunity to work towards QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
