Job summary

ABM in Glasgow is seeking a dependable operative to perform street cleaning, graffiti and gum removal, and related duties in the city centre. You will work 42 hours per week across five days in seven, with training and PPE provided.

You will join a team focused on safety, quality, and timely service delivery while maintaining high attendance, timekeeping and strong communication with colleagues and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Regular attendance and reliability for shifts.
• Ability to follow routine schedules and procedures.
• Ability to identify and take on tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Chewing Gum removal, graffiti removal and pressure washing.
• Litter pick and sweep of streets in Glasgow City Centre.
• Detail work on bollards, barriers and bins.
• Adhere to group and company policies and procedures.
• Report deficiencies affecting service delivery, safety or environment.
• Use equipment and PPE as trained.
• Report issues or training needs to line manager.

SHIFT PATTERN: 5 days in 7, 42 hours per week

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Chewing Gum removal. Graffiti removal. Pressure Washing.
• Litter pick and sweep of designated streets within Glasgow City Centre.
• Detail work i.e. bollards, barriers, bins.
• Following group and company policies and procedures
• Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
• Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
• Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
