Job summary

ABM UK is seeking a Cleaning Operative at Glasgow Fort to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across client sites to the highest standard. The role requires a keen eye for detail, adherence to health and safety, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

You will perform general cleaning, toilets, kitchens, waste disposal, and operate cleaning equipment. Full training provided; flexible shifts; reliable and punctual with good communication.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience preferred but full training provided.
• Ability to work flexibly across different shifts.
• Good attention to detail and strong work ethic.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks efficiently.
• Basic understanding of health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Reliable and punctual with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and wiping surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize toilets, kitchens, and communal areas, ensuring restocking of consumables.
• Dispose of waste in accordance with recycling and health and safety guidelines.
• Operate cleaning equipment responsibly and maintain them in good working order.
• Report any issues or maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety policies and procedures.
